3 mile run this morning - 68 - 70 degrees, 29:12
3 mile run this afternoon - 88 degrees, 29:41

My schedule necessitated the two separate, shorter runs, but I'm so glad I did it. :) Eating out tonight, tomorrow I have TONS of errands to run, and Thursday we leave, so I'll be sitting in the car for NINE HOURS that day. I need to get in as many runs as possible before we go, and plan to run at least a bit each day we're there.

I want to come home after our meeting tonight and finish my scrapbook page. I have work to do, too...

Last Saturday I needed to get in eight miles in order to reach a 20-mile week. All I could do in the morning was four miles, so I started the other four at 8 PM, when it was still 100°F.

THAT IS SO MISERABLE!!! I would not be able to run in heat like that this year. The hottest I ran in last year was about 101, and I was sick afterwards. So far this year I've run in 88 degrees at most. I hate it. Ugh.

You're so good at sticking with your training schedule, though!

Actually, I found it easier to run in 100° weather in the shade (or twilight) than in 75° weather in direct sunlight.

Really?? That's interesting... Somedays the temperature feels 'off' to me, too. Like not as hot as it really is, or hotter than it really is.

It's just that the sun beating directly on me takes more out of me than a hotter temperature without the sun beating on me.
