Gosh, I just cannot seem to keep up with this account! :(

Been running some, but not much. Decided not to do the R&R marathon or even half. Signed up for a 5K in July, and would really just like to do 2-6 miles 3-4 times a week. 20 minutes on the E 2-3 times a week. And weights and/or yoga 2-3 times a week. Want to work out for health, not for racing. How sad is that?

On the other hand, I am quite sad that I've lost most of my speed.

Eating low carb, trying to keep off the weight I recently gained and lost, and trying still to get off what I gained after I stopped running so much.

Working the wedding job full time with Eddie, doing freelance administrative in my spare time, and working in-office for one of my local clients 2 days a week. I HAVE NO TIME. I wish I had more time, I wonder how I ever had time for a full time job? Now if only the money would come in equal to the amount of work I seem to be putting in?

Ran 2 miles today, very slow, but I did it. Hope to run a couple tomorrow morning, but tomorrow is Saturday and the weekend madness begins. I think we need to leave the house at 11:00, which means I need to be out the door running by 9:00 if I want to run at all.

Sigh. And so is the full speed race that is my life.

I'm glad you get here every once in a while at least :)
I don't think it's sad that you're working out for health and not for racing. You ARE working out, that's the point.
Is it wedding-season there, too? I hope you'll get the financial reward for your work!

Awww, thanks! And yes, wedding season in full swing! Plus all the other jobs I'm doing on top of, keeping me way too busy!

And yes, a teeny tiny workout is better than nothing, huh? With that, I'm off to run 2 miles. :D

Have a lovely day! I miss chatting with you!

Hey, look who's back!

I glance through LJ every couple days, not really been doing much with it either. I can't wait for the upcoming marathons to be over so I can "reset" with a new program, it suddenly got too close to mess with my regular (albeit limited) schedule.

If I don't keep racing in mind, my workouts tend to sputter and putter along. They're more of an incentive than anything else for me right now, which seems to be the opposite of you... although I too have lost my speed, but my endurance should be immense with the long runs I've been doing.

Bummer you won't be in LA or SDRnR, it's been interesting wondering if I'd spot you and who might have passed who in other races. You'll get the urge for another tshirt soon, I bet.

SO CLOSE to LA! I can't wait to hear how you did! And yes, I am sort of sad not to be running LA or even RnR. It's funny, I would really still like to be running these races, but I seriously do not want to be putting in the time and effort for it - LOL!

I can seriously do without ANOTHER t-shirt, but if it's a tech shirt, count me in! LOL!

Best of luck to you! Keep me posted after LA, I want to hear how it went! I can't imagine your speed could have decreased by much if you are still keeping up with the long runs! Good for you!
